OUR STORY
The Roundabout way we got here...
We didn't set out to start a laundromat
Roundabout began as an idea for laundry delivery. The kind of service that takes laundry off your weekend and gives you those hours back, to spend on the people and things you love.
But we couldn't launch a delivery service without a laundry service worth using.
So in March 2024, we bought a facility. A tired, leaking, half-broken laundromat in Ottawa. We rebuilt it without closing, the regulars who depended on this place kept coming, and we kept the doors open through a year of improvements.
Day 1...

Today...

Then we built what we came here to build
In early 2025, we launched pickup and delivery: a local service, run by our team, processed at the laundromat we'd just rebuilt.
Laundry is the one chore that people get stuck with. You can outsource your lawn care, snow removal, and house cleaning, but laundry just keeps coming back.
Ottawa owned. Ottawa jobs.
Roundabout is locally owned and run by a small, but mighty team of drivers, laundry liaisons, in-house facility cleaners, and a small admin/office crew.
We don't rely on subcontractors or gig workers. We're not a software company farming work out to whoever's cheapest.
The team that picks up your laundry is the team that washes it, folds it, and brings it back. We offer benefits, flexible scheduling, and of course - free laundry. If our team is treated well, our customers feel the love, too.

Three things we hold ourselves to
(1) Take Ownership.
The work is ours. When something goes sideways, we own it. We don't pass it off or blame a platform or a partner.
(2) Aim to Delight.
A clean order and a kept promise should be the baseline, not the surprise. We look for opportunities to make little, positive memories.
(3) Keep Moving.
Better machines, faster routes, greater service, smarter tech.
Our work is never done.
"We didn't know anything about laundry when we started. Turns out that was the best thing about us... We didn't know which corners to cut."
